Because lately only few DD really deserve it.

Well, I have my own opinion about this topic, so let's put it simple and clear: I think that only a few DD are worthy (and thank god there are still these few ones!)
This is just my point of view --obviously everyone has his own, and probably there're people thinking they're the best DD in the world-- but I remember that a long time ago, whenever I went to the DD section, I had to see them all because all of them were somehow special.
This is not the case today. I think that the selection is not as impressive as before. Today I just find one or two (of the 25 DD) that special.
Why this? I don't know. Obviously the deviatons average quality has NOT gone down. Maybe gallery directors don't find any pic to display in the section? Maybe people stopped submiting valuable suggestions? I don't know.
I only know that there are great works of unknown people here at deviantart. These works are lost, nobody see them, while gallery directors only display those works that have been suggested. I think they should dig a little.
And about fan arts randomly displayed because the director likes that character... well, that's another different topic. I think this is the last straw! This is again my opinion, but I talked to other people and everyone agrees with this.

I know I'm not the person who says "this pic is great, this one isn't", but I just want to go again to see the DD and get astonished, discover new artists and get some great inspiration.

edit for all who are talking only about photograpy: And I'm not talking about only about photographers or artistic nude, I'm talking aabout all types of DD. ok?
